...of that grain issue.  It's all in knowing how much to sharpen, along with how much NR to engage.  Of course, in some lightening scenarios - in particular, those under tungsten lighting sources (in darker settings) noise can be a pesky issue regardless of what camera you use.

I keep my cameras set to Auto ISO with a max of ISO 3200 - but depending in what environment I'm shooting in, I might extend that max ISO to 6400.  Here are some ISO 6400 shots taken recently - all shot in RAW and converted with Adobe ACR in Photoshop:
