Question with a hopefully civil answer

I rarely use the viewfinder, when I do it is usually outdoors in bright sunlight. I also wear glasses and my camera has an EVF. I don't recall ever having a problem seeing what I was doing through the EVF, regardless of the sun's position (I have not done a rigorous test or experiment, so this is purely anecdotal).

I removed the eyecup to better accommodate my glasses, I'm not sure how much that affects the issue. On my camera there are a variety of settings for the EVF that affect the brightness and/or replicate the exposure settings. Maybe I got lucky and have it set in a way that works?
