Canon 6D purchased used, having red/white pixels throughout image?

I purchased a canon 6d via ebay listed as only 20k shutter life and in great condition..

however.. after taking a series of pictures today with a 50mm lens.. i'm seeing random red or white pixels in the image.. the positions change depending on lighting.. sometimes not visible till a roll of the mouse wheel.

I checked the sensor it looks clean.. i ran the manual clean and turned the power off after 30 seconds.

Then i tried a shot with the cap on the lens.. you can see maybe 100 white and a few red pixels throughout.. scroll the mouse to zoom in and its like outer space.

Is this a defective sensor?

I'm still relatively new to dslr's, but i'm thinking its bad?

Thanks in advance
