Must I upgrade my glass when i upgrade to a 5D4

Hello everybody.

My 5D2 is starting to show its age. The lenses I use are the Canon 17-40L and the Canon 24-70 2.8.( The first version)

I read the these are not good enough for the 5D4.

So what to do. It it true that these older lenses are not good enough?

And what to upgrade to? Is the newer 16-35IS good enough? And how about the Sigma 12-24 Art ( I notice that I reach more for the 17-40 then the 24-70)

Alternatives I have are

1. Take a step down and buy a 6D2 or am I going to regret this?

2. Go for the 5D3 ( How big is the step from the 5D2 to the 3 (and to the 4, a world of difference?

Or must I upgrade my glass anyway?

I shoot architecture and city/landscapes. Weathersealing is important
