Will I benefit from 9mm vs 12mm (APS-C)?


I am very tempted to buy new Laowa 9mm F2.8 for my A6500. I have Rokinon 12F2 and Rokinon FishEye 8mm.

I do not shoot landscapes, travel photography is not my kind of pizza. I mainly shoot sports/action and like UW lenses for such work. Fish Eye effect is not my favorite effect though.

My question is: Will I benefit from additional 3 mm switching from 12F2 to 9F2.8 in terms of sports/action? I am aware I will definitely need to stay closer to the subject 9mm vs 12mm, which with Fish Eye 8mm is a bit challenging sometimes due to safety reasons. Maybe my thinking about Laowa is wrong from the sports perspective? For me it might be a kind of one in two lenses (Rokinon 8mm and 12mm vs Laowa 9mm)

Here is what I do with Rokinon Fish Eye 8mm

Correcting Fish Eye effect is possible but it is quality killer IMO.
