Overall this camera is a peach and their are to many reviews out on the net which can provide greater information than I could. I will touch on one issue which is batter life, this camera can chew through batteries if you do not managing power consumption. Shooting with electronic shutter only, powering of back screen and simply turning off the camera seems to help...However, a stronger battery would eliminate the need to do this, I hope the xt3 solves this issue.

Just one cautionary note about ES, if you're not already aware. There are some nasty motion artifacts that can occur with the use of ES under certain conditions. It's definitely not recommended in situations where your subject matter is moving.

This relates to the fact that the data transfer from the sensor after taking the shot is much slower with the ES vs. MS. As a result, you can end up with some really strange (and highly undesirable) motion artifacts. So, a recommendation that you revert to MS when shooting anything in motion.

Data transfer from the sensor is slower with ES?

I believe the methodology is quite different, but I am no expert on the specifics.  Hoping someone with a lot more knowledge can dive in and explain it much better than I could.
