RX100 VI: Tests of the Power Zoom and Touch-Screen Focus

The hallmarks of the new Sony Rx100 VI relative to previous models in the line, and of particular interest to videographers, is the long power zoom and the ability to enable focus shifts (focus pulls) while shooting with the new touchscreen.

But how good are these features?

This 4K video contains a zoom over the full focal range and a number of touch-screen focus pulls.

The zoom issues:

1. How smooth is the zoom?

2. Is focus lost during the zoom (is it parfocal-like?)?

The focus pull issues are - how smooth and accurate.

The camera was mounted on a tripod and an ND filter was used so that the shutter speed could be kept at 1/60th for smooth motion (shot at 4K30P).
