And does it justify it?

I sold my X100T some time back after acquiring a X-T20 as I didn't think it warranted keeping both

Since then, I've always missed that gem a camera and the images it produced, despite having the 18mm and 23mm on the X-tso

I'm thinking of getting the 100F

Should I?

This sounds so familiar. I had an X-E2 and X100T, made the mistake of selling the X100T, and like you missed it so, I bought another X100T. Then I put the X-E2 on the shelf, only used the X100T for almost seven months, and never missed the X-T2. But for some unknown reason, I went back to the X-E2, made the mistake of selling the X100T for a second time, and put the money towards an X-T2. It didn't take long for me to miss the X100T and I didn't like the X-T2 all that much. So after six months, I sold the the X-T2, X-E2, all my lenses, and bought an X100F with the WCL-X100 wide-angle converter. With the new digital converters, I have a four lens kit rolled into a single fixed aperture, fixed lens camera and a small pocketable accessory.

I've made the same rationalization with my GR II.  But I found that cropping images in the camera is not a substitute for different lens characteristics IMO.  It's not about having enough MPs, it's about DOF, bokeh, image compression, etc.

But I realized that won't work for everyone and in your case, the X-T20 with the 23mm f2 and 18mm f2 is pretty much the same optically. So, if your happy with the X-T20, I would stick with what you have because this is probably one of those late night GAS attacks.
