Tips to improve my macro photography? (spider photo inside)

I took some ok pictures since I've been out only a couple of times and I'm an amateur but those photos don't come even close to what I can see on the internet.

I want to be able to zoom in a fly's eye and see all the fine detail. I feel that my photos while parts of it are sharp, even if I zoom in I don't see the clarity.
I have added some photos I took, but these are in my opinion the best ones and still far from what I want to achieve.

Do you recommend getting some extension tubes? Or some other gear? Or should I just start getting better?

This is the gear I use:
A7R III
Sony FE 90mm macro lens
Flash Godox TT350s (with the diffuser that comes in the box)
I shoot mostly handheld at 1/250, f16 and iso 100 since my tripod is not very advanced and very hard and time-consuming to set up properly for macro shots.

Sony Alpha a7R
