Stacking in PS

This is a bit of a newb question, but I am having trouble finding an answer.

I now have a few photos that I would like to attempt to focus stack, as well as one I need to stack for exposure. The problem is, I can’t find steps in the processing. For instance, I assume you do color/exposure editing after stacking?

Second, this might be PS 101, but I can’t figure this one out either; how do I open all of the RAWs as layers? When the photo is finally saved, is it still in its RAW form so that I can edit? Is there a way to save as a RAW so that I don’t lose the ability to edit as well?

Thank you! I know these are simple questions, but they seem to be left out of every tutorial I see of stacking photos. Normally I just use PS to edit out distractions or blemishes, I have never used it to stack with and therefore, I need a tutorial that describes the entire process, not just the stacking itself.
