Video recovery tools for Canon, Nikon, Sony cameras

I've tried to find a thread on this one, but I think there is none, so I'd better involve you DPreview guys in a new discussion.

So I was having a Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera, and recently I had to recover a video from it that I have been recording before dropping the camera. The recording stopped (not correctly), the file was damaged, and I had to dig all over the web to find the tool to fix it.

So here is the list of video recovery tools/services I found:

restore.media

grauonline

mp4repair

fixvideo

aeroquartet

I didn't consider desktop tools like Remo, Recuva and Stellar because I had to search for cracks in this case, as it's quite expensive, and I was sure I'm not going to use it daily, so didn't want to buy it.

While I was quite satisfied with the one I've chosen ( restore.media ), it also appeared that the service is no longer free ( when I needed to recover another file recently).

So I've searched the web again, to find free tools for video recovery:

recover_mp4

djifix (I don't have a DJI, so it was a useless knowledge for me, but might be of use to some)

So I wondered - who knows more great (preferably free!) tools to fix videos? Or any other great tools to work videos (maybe some editing tool)?

Canon EOS 5D Mark II
