Re: What gear for Japan

It is a bit my experience. when I look back most of my photos are at 24 and 85 (FX).

After reading few comments I am thinking maybe to take the d850 with 15-24-135 (and maybe the AIS 50/1.2 for some fun in Gion when kids sleep) and a Fuji with the a 35 and 85 equivalent (and a couple of tiny CCTV for some fun in Tokyo). This would allow to have always available two lenses instead of having to overlapping cameras (which I fear will be the Nikon 24 and the Fuji 56 99%)

I could go full Nikon or full Fuji, but one kills cropping too much and the other get really heavy at times and given how warm august is in Japan, I suspect a smaller body wil be often a better choice.
