Here is one of the shots; ISO 1600.

I had to do a lot of work to extract that image from the raw (the work was the result of the conditions, not the gear).

In that thread I also mention the effectiveness of the E-M1(mk1) holding focus on a fast-moving, distant aircraft in CAF + tracking mode.  It was the first time I tried it and I was impressed.

I don't regard 1600 ISO as particularly high.  I don't worry much about noise unless I'm going over 4,000.  Here is an example where I took it to 20,000 (using an E-M5 mk1):

I actually processed that to try to bring out the noise.  Savages.
