Drying of Canon CLI-42 cartridges
I'm thinking of going to the refill route, so I thought I'd try my hand at preparing an OEM cartridge first. I got the ball out, drilled out the hole and rinse the cartridge until it's clear from ink and shows white.
I wrapped a paper towel to the bottom of the spout and secured it with an elastic band.
Over a week now, and it's only dropped 0.5 grams in weight, so it's not drying too much despite putting in a room that is quite warm.
Just wondering how long this process takes and is there another way to speed it up.
