RX10IV - responsiveness & performance versus an ILC?
1

I was playing with a Nikon D7000 recently and noticed how fast it was compared to my RX10 III. From picking it up to capturing a sharply focused exposure, everything happened quicker. I’m sure any modern ILC is like this, or even faster.

Does the newer RX10 IV fully close this performance gap? I realize a big part of the “slowness”of bridge cameras is the motorized lens having to extend, which for whatever reason camera makers won’t give us a manually operated version of....but other than that there’s no reason why a bridge camera has to be any slower than an ILC, right?

BTW - sorry about the vague topic, I really couldn’t turn up much on a search. Most discussions revolve around the IQ differences. And commentary on the IV’s autofocus  usually relates to other bridge cameras, not ILCs.
