Adobe Bridge 2018 CC stalls during lauching and doesn't quit.

Hi all

My configuration is:

Mac OS X 10.11.5

RAM 32GB, usually between 40% and 60% busy.

I have an issue with Bridge (see the course of events lower) so I plan to uninstall and reinstall it. Yet I am worried about loosing the different settings I did such as the IPTC tools, the cache and so on.

I suppose they'll be trashed with the rest so I would like to save them but I can't find them in the Library. I used to know where the were but I forgot.

The course of events was:

1. After a session during which nothing wrong happened, I quit Bridge.

2. When I relaunched it later I had an Error message box saying “The operation could not be completed”.

3. I retried several times.

4. I noticed in the Dock that the Bridge icon was still checked as if it was opened. Later, the Dock local menu either was empty, either had the ‘Quit’ option that did nothing or had the ‘Force Quit’ option that did actually kill it.

5. OTOH in the Activity Monitor the ‘Force a Process to Quit’ works well.

6. I restarted the Mac. Nothing changed.

7. Bridge is currently listed in the Activity Monitor as occupying 96.6 MB of RAM which is 44% busy.

TIA

Regards

Nick
