Do the Sony A7R cameras have too many mpix for vintage lenses?

Hi, I'm considering trying FF Sony for my adapted lenses. One thing I like about the A7 series is tat some have the high mpix sensor, I've seen some very detailed photos with them, and would like to explore using that sensor. Is it fine to use a 30mp sensor with vintage glass? I expect it perhaps won't look very good at 100% since few lenses will have enough resolution? But if you then resize it to a more normal mpix size like say 24mp, will it look fine, just as if you've taken it with a 24mp FF camera? Has anyone used the A7R series with vintage lenses and can give input? Thanks.
