Three different Dahle lines

Cheers for all the help guys. I'll look up a dhale one going forward.

Dahle makes three different lines of rotary trimmers. The aforementioned 558 is from the "Professional" line, even the smallest one of which (the model 550) would cost you £92 (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dahle-Professional-Trimmer-Cutting-Capacity/dp/B001J8I9QO/). I don't doubt that it would be a step up from the Carl RT-200, but costs twice the price or more. Whether it's within your budget and worth it to you is something only you can decide.

Dahle also makes a cheaper "Personal" line, and although the same-size model 507 would cost you only £34 (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dahle-Personal-Trimmer-Cutting-Capacity/dp/B004FI4AIG/), it gets overall mediocre reviews. I decided to get the Carl instead of this Dahle.

(And then there's Dahle's top "Premium" line, the smallest of which is the model 440, which would cost you £130, see https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000NJUQB6/.)
