A matter of Time (EXIF Time Zone)

Seeing that the A6500 is saving time zone information in EXIF. I wonder how many software supports it?

I don't have an A6500, only A6000. I suppose I can manually add the time zone information and maybe it is enough to fool the software to think the picture has EXIF info?

I also have a different idea. I heard that NTFS stores file in UTC. Wouldn't it be better to change the camera clock to UTC? That way, no matter what timezone I am in and whether it is daylight saving time or not. The time is always accurate?

Of course, it won't be so easy as I don't think the OS would assume EXIF time is UTC. But there are many utilities that can convert EXIF date to file creation date. Maybe one utility has an option to set the creation date using UTC?
