X-E1 vs X-E2 for manual lens only

I am looking for a cheap APS-C body with a viewfinder to use some manual lenses on.  I primarily shoot JPEG.   I am unlikely to add any AF lenses to the mix in the foreseeable future.  Seems like older Fuji X-E bodies are the best bang for the buck.  Looking at used prices I can get a nice X-E1 for under $200 and a X-E2 for about $100-110 more.

I know the X-E2 has some nice modern firmware updates and better AF and operational speed.  but given that I intend to shoot only manual primes, is there any real benefit to the newer camera?  I know it's only a $100, but that's 50% more at this price level.

Sensor output appears about the same from what I can tell, is that correct?  Any differences in manual focus aids that I should know about?

Thanks for your feedback.
