For RAW conversions, although Affinity does have that function, I found the DxO PL really worth the cost. (to me anyway) - DxO PL is $200. So, for $250, you can get a full editing program with the best RAW conversion software. If you want to keep it on the cheap, just go for Affinity alone as it has RAW and pixel based editing in one place.

Both are currently on sale, too.

DxO Photolab $99 or Photolab Elite $149

Affinity Photo $35

So $184 for the package. I'd go with Elite.

That's what I use. DxO PhotoLab for my raw processing, and Affinity when I need per-pixel editing. Works very well for my needs.
