I feel your pain, and having passed thru the portal of rank beginner in post-processing, I can honestly say that any image editing software program worth having is going to present a learning curve, because post-processing is not automatic.

That said, for the money, Affinity Photo is a really good value for the dollar.

I've been using Affinity Photo for several months now, and I doubt I will ever outgrow it.  Only if one were to make their living in photography, would Affinity perhaps not be sophisticated enough.

I found Affinity's learning curve to be easier than other software I had tried, but that's just me--your mileage may vary.
