Like the FF you have, M43 basically works the same manner on all basic shooting.

Major different is the 100% live view. Use the live view well from framing, focus, DOF, exposure, WB, saturation and to certain degree contrast as well, and the see-adjust experience is much more than the frame only ovf.

On CAF you must lower your expectation. AFS will be as fast as any dslr,l. Single focus point with smallest focus box size will give us 100% accurate focus.

A general rule for all smaller sensors, be sure to have max exposure otherwise noise might be seen even at base ISO. Don't own G7 but according to its similar generation of siblings, ISO1600 might be OK if care enough.

Depending on the lens most of them can have their sharpness wide open or stop down slightly. F/8~11 be a general cliff edge  of diffraction and beyond them must use with care.

So it seems how to config your cam be the biggest changllege. As everyone might have their own sort of shooting and priority, you should list out the most frequent use features and consider where to put them. Be noted that the Q.menu and fn buttons can be different under each C mode, so, can deeply customize your cam for different use.

Take a good energy management policy, having quick AF etc disable, a short sleeping time and also a short review time. Switch off your cam if not for immediate shooting. Usually take 3~3.5 hrs be the normal continuously powering life of your battery. Within that period you might take 100 or 800 shots.

I don't think more than the above from dslr.Emit your new toy.
