You are conflating two concepts: taking photos (e.g "creating") and publishing photos (e.g. "sharing").

Do whatever you need to do in order to get the shots you want and need. Take 100s of shots and spend hours paring them down, or spend hours planning and take three "perfect" shots. I don't care, neither should you and neither should anyone else.

I would humbly suggest that we all do everyone else a favor and be the editor of our own work: the world probably does not need 100s of shots of the same sunset that you took last night. Pick your favorite, or favorite three, and share only those. Or share all of them, I'll live.
