6D II Dynamic range test

I was wondering how to do a true test of dynamic range, it occured to me that to really understand what's happening you need to use an external light. The camera may otherwise be playing tricks.

So I setup my monolight and fired it off 9 times across its 9 stop range at a random sphere I happen to own.

Thats 9 stops of light.

Here is shot 9 with exposure dropped by -4 in ACR:

9 stops of light and no sign of highlights blowing out.
