SD14 | IR
3

That's an IR image which I made last weekend. Using the SD14 for IR photography is quite handy, because removing the IR blocking filter is so easy. But having an DSLR without a screen can make it difficult to control image framing. Hence I am using the 10 to 20 mm f3.5 ultra wide zoom, not to get a narrow angle too much (and actually this image is cropped to 16:9 ratio).

Postprocessing is done in RT without doing anything before in SPP. IR images look pretty cool whenever you have blue sky, classic buildings and some trees.

Hope you enjoy the picture.

Since removing the dust/IR blocking filter may create issues with regard to sensor dust, I have to clean the sensor pretty frequently. Most of times a blower is fine, but sometimes I have to use liquid cleaning.

Now I have an issue with the SD14: Although using the control wheel and the proper keys for getting the mirror up, there's "CL" noted in the SD14 display, but the mirror doesn't come up. Does somebody knows what is wrong with the cam?

Have a good time.
