true but a 2.8 in this focal range below 50mm is quite a slow for prime  for the price of the sony 35mm 2.8  and I would have at least expect a f2 or faster

I shoot m43 f1.4, f1.8 , and f2 lenses in low light and they all work, even with the ISO problems associated with m43. Also I rarely shoot my Nikon f1.4 lenses at f1.4. Normally using f1.8-f2.2.

I will get the Tamron as my zoom for the a7xx but it has not arrived in Goa yet. That will not make me sell the 35 f2.8.
