Re: Dealing with RAW numbers by MySets

A quick check on the Oly updater reveals that the little Mini PM2 is not capable of having the MySets stored to the cloud. But I wonder, if my OMD M5 II might have that capability?

Latest firmware lets the Oly Updater store the settings in the computer, and return them later if needed. Came in at V3 http://dl01.olympus-imaging.com/ww/ud2/ENU/0001/1180/index40a.html

I tried the Keystone Compensation on a shot my wife took of a yard and a house, and I must say I'm getting a little better at it. That pole was all slanted and the fence was not square with the world, when I started, and now it looks a whole lot better.

Sometimes it doesn't look quite right when fully corrected, eoither leave it alone or go easy on the slides and often looks more "natural" as we are so used to crooked things with wide angle lenses.

Anyway, often just keeping the camera dead level when shooting and later cropping top or bottom as needed makes for an acceptable image without having to resort to keystone correcting.

Maybe that Faststone program Parsons talks about is better, but the Oly 3 Viewer does work.

FastStone only does levelling of images ("Straighten" function) and no perspective corrections.
