You won't regret $ on the 11-22 but about that 22mm

You mention the 22mm being your next purchase.  I have it and the 28 macro and shoot landscape, mostly along the Pacific Coast but in the 11 western states as well ...... and the 28mm macro goes out with me on the trail 10 times for every time the 22 goes along.  The 22 goes along only if I'm pushing my limits on hike length or altitude or elevation gain and it will be on the M100 rather than the M5.  Mostly it's the M5 and 28mm that go along.

The 28mm produces excellent panoramic merges xzand is a macro (DW has me taking flowers and rocks)  and very often is wide enough for the landscape ........ and has IS.  When it's not wide enough, I turn it 90 deg and take three shots and merge in LR.  28mm is wide enough for 4 out of 5 wide landscapes if I frame carefully.  It does not overlap the 11-22.

Roughly 80% of my landscape shooting is with the 28mm.  If I know I'll need wider for a lot of shots the 11-22 goes along (this is rare).  I also take the 50mm 1.8 on an adapter as a second lens when I expect some far off water falls or mountains (and a tree to brace against).

I would use the 22 indoors (sans flash) or for night street or to bring a subject out of the background (with a tripod since there's no IS) but I don't do that kind of shooting.
