Lesson learned

Last night we had our meeting, and I used my OMD M5 II with a preset of 200-5000 ISO and my 25mm Panasonic 1.7 lens.

My wife and I took a lot of pictures, and when I set the camera right, and take enough pictures, now and again one turns out that pleases the folks we send the pictures to.

Which is, after all, the entire point of taking pictures, to please the people that are viewing them.

Paying attention

The camera liked ISO 200 for that one, and I couldn't have picked any better ISO, myself.

Then I snuck around on the other side of that fellow and shot him again, and the camera liked ISO 320 for that one. It also got him, and blurred the other fellow behind him.

Paying more attention

If you'll set all the blasted buttons, knobs, and switches right, especially the ISO range, the camera will do all the work for you, while you pay attention to taking pictures.

Or at least, that's the theory of automatic ISO settings, anyway.

Then, by and by, I sidled back where I was, and got the other fellow paying attention, the camera picked ISO 320 again, and blurred the first guy, and the folks that got the pictures were sure pleased with the series of shots.

I didn't tell them, that I had a lot of help, from my friends on the internet, selecting automatic ISO settings.

I just told them Olympus made a very fine camera, and they agreed with me, entirely.

I even took a set of RAW pictures, to back up the JPEGS, so in times ahead somebody that's a better editor than I am, might improve on my efforts.
