1 - How does that small body balances with the 55-230mm? i understand theres a small grip that comes with it... but is it enough?

2- How does the custom dials feel like? can they be used as an Aperture\shutter dial? or do they provide too much resistance to do so.

Thank you in advance.

I use a 50-230mm with my X-A1 and it's fine. There is no such thing as balance if you support the lens with your left hand and cradle it (at least up to this size). I don't know who actually operates the camera and lens only with their right hand where balance would matter?

I have the HG-XM1 grip on my X-A1, which is probably a little better than the supplied grip with the X-T100, but the X-A1 is a smaller camera. If you mean the 55-200mm, I have no idea. But I imagine it's a similar story.

Its not just about holding a camera to shoot, but also to carry it around. If a lens feels too heave and the setup its front loaded it gives you a constant feeling the camera will snap.

We're not talking about a 100-400 here or a collared lens. The 50-230 isn't going to front load the camera body ridiculously and will be fine.

Agreed, the 50-230 is light enough that this will not be an issue, and the XT100 certainly feels solid and strong enough.
