Sounds like new-camera-fever to me... that lens has always been good and would be just as good on any Fuji.

I hear that and respect it. You may be right.

But with the indulgence of the people at Aden, my local camera store, I've tried a number of their display lenses on their display X-T100. 23/1.4, 23/2, 50, 56, 27, 18, 18-55. None of them had the sheer rightness of the 35/1.4 either aesthetically or to handle. And while the 35/1.4 looks good on any camera, it's just right on the X-T100 in a way that the bigger cameras can't quite explain.

Optically they're all good, all lenses, on all cameras. Use anything that suits the purpose and the photographer. No question.

But man, there's just some extra frisson with the 35/1.4 on the X-T100. Feels like a classic.
