Re: Question about the body construction

1 - How does that small body balances with the 55-230mm? i understand theres a small grip that comes with it... but is it enough?

2- How does the custom dials feel like? can they be used as an Aperture\shutter dial? or do they provide too much resistance to do so.

Thank you in advance.

1. As the lens is light, I've had no problem holding the camera with the 50-230 in one hand and taking pics, but  make sure it's in  good daylight. Needs a fairly high speed to guarantee sharp pics. My hands are small so the grip is fine for me.

2. I haven't explored all the possibilities of the dials yet. Maybe ask one of the other members, like Helen who has done more research on the camera. The dials are fine for what they do. The one on the right side is useful for setting the exposure compensation, similar to the XA series. The left side dial is for film simulations, and must say I haven't used that much as I tend to set the film sim and leave it. Tho on occasion I have switched quickly to a B&W film which was handy and convenient.

Still not sure what else these dials can be used for. Too busy shooting and having fun with the camera. Will have to read the manual, I guess!
