Ghost issue
1

One of the best portrait MFT lenses

Good sharpness, nice boke

Boke

but:

- too heavy even for FF – 600g with the genuine metal hood

- too expensive

- has a ghost issue which even may not be corrected:

Cheaper and more lightweight full frame 85/1.8 lenses as Zeiss Batis, etc. bring better boke results. Panasonic G9 with NOCTICRON may be heavier than SONY A7xxxx with 85/1.8.

So, if you still didn’t, before to move from FF camera to MFT think a few times.

For 50mm equivalent MFT doesn’t have a solution until now. Real maximum diaphragm of Olympus 25/1.2 and Leica 25/1.4 measured by DXOMark is 1.8. Taking into account crop x2 for the same boke result with FF cameras we need to have 50/f3.5 – a lot of FF zoom lenses have the option.

I see the lightweight advantages of MFT only starting from 70-200mm equivalent range.
