5 reasons you should and shouldn't buy RX100VI

5 reasons you should:

  • 70-200mm, for users who like to shoot a little bit more of telephoto and portraits
  • Sharpness, the sharpness of the lens resemble a lot of RX10III/IV performance, definitely leading in 1 inch sensor category
  • Touchscreen and EVF
  • Improved color science, especially skin tones
  • Better HFR, autofocus and performances

5 reasons you shouldn't buy:

  • Premium price
  • The lack of timelapse (apps)
  • You shoot mainly 24-70mm, losing over one stop of aperture
  • Worse low light performances in all focal ranges (except 70-200)
  • Video shooter or Vloggers (lack of ND filter, mic input, record limitation in 4K and no Active Steadyshot for handheld footages in 4K)

My impression it is the downsized version of RX10 and RX10II, with fewer videography features. For those who love the 70-200mm focal ranges, it's a snap buy. Otherwise, pick up the cheaper RX100IV/V.
