Annoying thing about 18-135

More than a minor annoyance, Sony has designed the bayonet lens shade for the 18-135 so that it spins loosely. It is so loose the wind catches and rotates it like a pinwheel. When this happens and the lens is at or close to 18mm, the shade cuts off the corners.  This forces placing a finger on the shade to avoid its rotation.  In this regard, the 18-135 is worse than the 16-70. Sony got it right on the 10-18, which has a bit of tension to hold the lens shade from inadvertantly twisting.  Why haven't they similarly designed the shades for the 18-135 and 16-70?  Is Sony attempting to sell more lens shades as they fall off all over the world? Just kidding, but this is a genuine problem.
