I like to use film from time to time.

What I do is to take my film to the lab, get them to develop and do small prints.

I then scan the negatives on my old Canoscan 8800F if they are worth scanning.

I agree with Macroguy that it does defeat the film purpose a bit, but it can still be fun and if you get a great shot the lab can print it larger for you! Just another way to have fun with photography, but no longer so useful for any serious shooting.
