Getting better skin tones, especially with strobe lights

I have previously owned a GX7, GX8 and now a GX85 and they all seemed to be plagued with the same issue, producing quality skin tones on models using strobe lights. Ive used Canon cameras over the past 15 years in my career and they really excel at this, not so much with Panasonic. Ive tried AWB, cloudy, shade, set my own color temperature, made my own custom profile, nothing works. I have to correct it in Photoshop because its very uneven and unnatural looking. I guess there is a reason you rarely, if ever, see these cameras in a studio. Even on a natural light shoot yesterday, the skin tones just dont look even and natural. Using an Olympus 25mm f/1.8 lens. Any ideas?
