Adobe file caching

Is it normal for Adobe file caching to take up hundreds of gigabytes of space on the hard drive even after the applications are shutdown? Yesterday my system drive filled up and it had a couple hundred gigs of cached files in an Adobe folder residing in a hidden folder called AppData.

It seems abnormal to have to delete these files manually or else have them continuously fill up the system drive...

I thought it might even be a bug of some sort or perhaps related to an application crash.

Anyone know what is going on?
