Ex Demonstrator X-T2 - Wise Buy or Not?

Would appreciate some thoughts and advice on a possible upgrade from my X-E2.

I was considering an X-E3 - I would like the joystick, as single focus point portrait photography is my most common use, and moving the focus point with the buttons is fiddly, but for limited improvements over the X-E2 I couldn't justify the cost.  But today I saw an X-T2 for the same cost as the X-E3.  That would give me weather sealing, improved evf, more manual controls and two card slots, plus a robust magnesium chassis.

It's a ex shop demo camera, comes with full guarantee, 40,000 Thai Baht body only, which is £900 or $1,200.  Cost of X-T2 in Thailand is 69,000 THB or $2000.  It looks like new - no scratches.

I have a decent range of Fuji primes and zooms already.

I'm not keen on the T20 - no joystick, too small for my hands.  Don't feel I realy need in body stabilization for my uses, although it would be nice, but cost of X-T3 likely to be much higher.

Is an ex-demo too great a risk?

Is the upgrade in the body worth it in your view?

Thanks for any thoughts.
