Vistas along the Speed River
Lovely series Joachim - I was really trying to get caught up this week after getting back from vacation Tuesday evening, so haven't been able to browse the boards as much as I'd like...glad you got the chance to push this one up on the board. I never heard of the Speed river and had to look up where it was - quite a lot of wildlife action along this spot for sure. Baby birds, raccoons, blooming flowers...looks like a lovely spot!
BTW - when searching for the river's name, the first few news links that popped up were about identifying a body found in the river in the last 24-48 hours...hope you didn't have to encounter that!-- hide signature --
Thanks Justin. I live in walking distance of the confluence of the Speed and Grand rivers. It is a prime area for wild life with a few Osprey and Bald Eagle nesting sites. Deer, mink, otters, and many other creatures reside here.
I had not heard of the body found in the Speed river in Guelph, about 30 km from where I am.
