Canon 200D battery grip
Re: Canon 200D battery grip

Actually Canon is planning on offering a battery grip for the SL2/D200. I spoke to the Canon Marketing Director at the Co super Electronics Show since my company has been managing the Show with Freeman Deco/Freeman AV now for 10 years. He said it would be an accessory sometime this Fall if not by September. This Camera follows the SL1 which has a Battery Grip for those of us who like the Portability, Camera features but we have larger hands and prefer the advantage longer battery life, shooting timing and these Cameras just look better with a Grip. I own the Canon 1DX, 1DC and 5D Mark IV, Canon 7D, Canon 40D and at the show I picked more lenses and a Canon Rebel T6i for my daughter. We are going to Iceland so I only take what I can put in my backpack which is 4 camera bodies, 4 lenses than a small waist hip size bag for portability. However the SL2 is a great little camera. So for those of you waiting for a battery grip it is coming it will be available soon. Canon is trying to determine the future of their line of Cameras since Sony is dominating with their CMOS Sensors that Nikon are using in their Cameras which is no secret. Canon has some amazing CMOS sensors the Military is now using however Sony is so much further ahead along with Nikon. Although I own Nikon cameras to that I also enjoy the will be my next purchase.
So I just want those who have bought an SL2 in the last 6 months a battery grip is on its way. Look for an alternate brand like Neewer atxa lower price. And their Pro level tilt flash units are excellent and work just as well as the 580IIEX and 600.
