I've been thinking of getting the NX 16/2.4. Is this still a good idea, given that the NX system has been discontinued now for years?

The cheaper NX lenses are still worth getting. Folks will be still shooting Samsung cameras for a few years yet. I got a 2nd NX500 to ensure I have a body for a long time to come.

And, what is a good price for it? I see a possibility of buying one new for $239.

That's about right. It's a very good pancake imo - I use it more than any other lens on my Samsungs, for street shooting.

I have both the NX3000 and NX500. I'm willing to sell off the 30 and the 45. What is the best way to sell them? I was thinking of KEH since I haven't done much on ebay and don't want the hassle.

What are your thoughts?

The 30 and 45 are both excellent lenses but if you're not using them they'll fetch a decent price atm.

Thanks

Thanks everyone.  I keep circling back to this, but I'm probably going to pass.  The 16-50pz is a great for my purposes, I'm not sure what the 16/2.4 would bring that's worth it.  True- smaller, lighter - but the 16-50pz is also small and light. I did hack the NX500 for longer recording time but the NX3000 is still recording time limited so I'd be stuck at the NX500 size, the 16/2.4 wouldn't help enough in making it smaller.  Too bad the NX3000 was crippled!

So I'm planning on letting the 30 and 45 pancake lenses go.  I've been giving the MI YI 4K (not plus) a try.  Mostly it's for personal documentation and note taking - it's working really good for that.  It's very small and light, and the wide angle fixed focus lens is great for my subject.  And it video records for a looong time!  I can even use it as a dash-cam as it will video record in an infinite loop!!
