Decentered Zeiss 24mmm 1.8 - return or keep?

I've recently bought a a6300 with the 24mm f/1.8 Carl Zeiss Sonnar.

It is an absolutely wonderful combo, and I'm loving it to bits - there is a weird 3D-ness to the images it produces that I don't recall seeing in any of my other cameras/lenses.

However, the Zeiss seems to be somewhat decentered, with the left side being softer than the right.

Here is a pair of shots, first taken the right side up and then with the camera inverted.

As you can see, the softness switches sides accordingly.

Now, the seller has offered to take back the lens and replace it with an identical one (also used, like my current one), but I'm having a hard time deciding if it is the right thing to do?

My current lens seems as sharp as I could wish for in the center, so I'm not sure if I risk getting a replacement that is sharper in the left side, but softer in the middle.

Looking at the above pictures, would you keep the current lens, or go for the replacement?
