Perhaps partly true for LANDSCAPE photographers, but certainly not true of portrait photographers, wedding photographers, wildlife photographers, sports photographers or those doing product photography...

I think the list where it doesn't apply is significantly bigger. Even with landscapes those shooting Infra red will tend to shoot nearer midday - when the light is better for the images they're creating.
