Harsh claim but GX8 shutter shock is shocking... And its effect.

When the GX8 came out, many found out that the shutter mechanism has visible shutter shock in many shutter speed ranges. That was of course same way pushed around like E-M1 shutter shock claims (that not most E-M1 bodies suffered at all while some got it visible) but it was enough to impact GX8 sales. And when GX85 (GX80, GX7 Mk2) came out it was presented by Panasonic how the new shutter was designed to eliminate the shutter shock.
I was interested to buy GX8 as gift but when testing the body, the shutter shock was, shocking.
Now after years of the GX8 release, when I stumbled to the GX85 review by David Thorpe it again shocked that how bad you could get the effect to be.

But I wouldn't yet say that the result would spoil the image, as it is as well content aware result. But for me that was still a amazing thing that how could Panasonic release the GX8 as it must have been found out in testing period that shutter should be redesigned or do something about it to avoid it.
This just made again to think the challenges of marketing when new models are presented, as I think that was maybe the only real problem of the GX8 that gave it a bad name, that Panasonic needed to try avoid with new models, now with GX9 (GX7 Mk3, GX85 Mk2).
How much does these kind things affect to sales overall? Sony has had similar things and yet it is just raising in sales by ex-DSLR fans praising the mirrorless tech that Sony is bringing to their attention, regardless we have got them for years. So it just seems to be that the only problem really is the sensor size that is holding back the m4/3 system, regardless what the IQ is in real world usage. As just the knowledge of someone knowing that they would be using a smaller sensor can make them feel bad, and add there bad news like shutter shock on GX8 can totally affect to all m4/3 partners products, not just one.
