RX100 VI could be the last RX100 series and here is why

RX10 and RX100 series are the last series Sony developed in recent years.

With the advancement of smartphone cameras technology Sony decided to go zooms for attracting new customers. VI is definitely appealing to some of those who enjoy traveling with a quality camera in a small package.

But let's be honest from the perspective of price point, both RX10IV and RX100VI are way overpriced for general users. I do see however, some of the A7 users gonna buy a piece of VI but for most other users and even vloggers, the $1200 price tag gonna kill a lot of sales, that the higher margin per unit may not cover the cost of R&D and make this series profitable.

The death of Cyber-shot is approaching, now depending on sales of RX100VI.
