The problem with ML is that they haven't been able to hack Digic 6, let alone 7 or 8 in new M50. While very impressive, they are very limited by quite old cameras they can exploit.
But why this obsession with raw footage? I mean, I watch the raw footage of the new black magic pocket 4K camera, and I think the IQ of the Nx500 to be superior... what are the advantages of raw?
Well maybe not in low light...

Don't you think the new black magic pocket image is rather similar to the GH5s?
Raw gives you complete control over footage you can literally push video however you want to. I think it is great for people who want to make films. I think raw allows better recovery of blown highlights as well. If magic latern made raw video for nx1 it would be a game changer. I think some NX1 sellers would be sad they got rid of their camera.
ok, but if you shoot in low light, does it makes any difference? I mean, aren't noise reductions algorythms, such as in the Sony A7III, a good thing?
