My lens is more or less similar at 55mm or 18mm. Best FL is 35mm, stopped down to f4 or more if you can. I mostly use mine at f4 or f8.

I got mine mostly as a fit for my modest (and rare) wide-angle needs, and as a compact walk around travel lens for stills and video.

I'm hesitating on the 16-55mm as a replacement though--it's not a low profile lens in any sense. The 23mm f1.4 is also big, heavy, expensive--not to mention the 16mm f1.4. The 23mm f2 has a low contrast haze at close focus. The 18mm f2 when I had it, was sometimes a worse performer than the 18-55mm. *sigh*

It's still the best 'kit' lens I've used, but it has got its share of limits. I wish they would re-issue the lens in a version 2, with better OIS optimization with the X-H1 though--it's a great video lens otherwise.
