TL500 with manual flash

A few more questions...

1. What was your ISO? Indoor flash scenarios should be shot at either ISO 400 - 800 when using the larger APS-C sized sensor cameras.  For very small sensor models like the TL500, you're best bet is not to put it above ISO 200. Too low an ISO will force the camera to select a lesser aperture.   In the end however, Samsung P&S cameras are sort of finicky using manual flash units - with some not recognizing the flash at all, and the flash won't fire.  A good case in point for this is the more advanced EX2F - manual units won't fire at all with that model, regardless of what you do.  It's frustrating to be sure.

2. But you're hinting that the manual flash actually fires on your TL500?  If so, that is wonderful.  Obviously, this probably isn't the answer, but knowing the ISO you shot at might lead to an answer.
